American pairing to meet Klaasen/Venus for the title

河北快三 Jack Sock and partner Vasek Pospisil denied Mike Bryan and Bob Bryan a fourth Wimbledon title in the 2014 championship match, defeating the twins to lift the trophy.

So while Sock disappointed Mike Bryan at the All England Club then, he has made up for it this fortnight, joining the 40-year-old to beat Dominic Inglot and Franko Skugor 6-3, 6-1, 6-7(11), 6-7(4), 6-4 on Thursday to reach the Wimbledon final in their second tournament as a team.

Mike Bryan, who will return to World No. 1 in the ATP Doubles Rankings on 16 July, is competing at Wimbledon for the first time without twin brother Bob Bryan, who is still recovering from a right hip injury.

Bryan and Sock held six match points in the third set before eventually triumphing after three hours and 12 minutes. The American duo won 80 per cent of first-serve points and withstood 19 aces to advance.

Bryan, a three-time Wimbledon champion, and 2014 titlist Sock, reached the Fever-Tree Championships quarter-finals on their team debut in June. The No. 7 seeds have twice survived five-set encounters en route to the championship match, where they will meet Raven Klaasen and Michael Venus.

Sock has struggled in singles action, winning just five of 17 tour-level encounters this season after reaching the 2017 Nitto ATP Finals. But the American continues to impress on the doubles court, lifting three titles this year in Delray Beach (w/Withrow), Indian Wells (w/Isner) and Lyon (w/Kyrgios). He is 24-8 in tour-level matches on the doubles court in 2018.

Klaasen and Venus, who reached the Libema Open final in June, overcame 2012 champion Frederik Nielsen and partner Joe Salisbury 7-6(6), 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.

The No. 13 seeds were clinical in crucial moments, saving four of five break points and converting both their break-point chances to progress after two hours and 21 minutes. Klaasen and Venus won back-to-back five-set matches to reach the semi-finals.
